After almost 2 years of online classes… Aurinko has gone back to its glorious days .. the offline classes!!!
Little ones in Aurinko welcomed every morning of offline school days with a bag full of excitement, love, affection, and happiness.
Grades 1 and 2 wished us by giving cute hugs. Children enjoyed playing with their friends in the morning free time until the assembly started. They held our hands to show the weaver bird’s nest on a tree on the school ground. Some of them climbed on monkey bars and taught others how to play with it. Some of them enjoyed picking varieties of stones and fallen mangoes from the ground. The younger ones pulled our ears with love to share their secrets, excitements, and complaints. They explored nature by enjoying the sweetness of mulberries from the mulberry tree and touching and picking the leaves, twigs, etc.
The children were so busy in the mornings to find their friend circles and play games with them. The older ones love the fun and frolic with their friends. They showed their affection and respect for me by being responsible in the classes. They listened carefully to the instructions and focussed on the class while completing their projects. The high school children came forward to help me in ANC (Art and Craft) with the decorations for the graduation day and they made it successful. They helped me a lot with responsibility, care and love.
It was my first experience in the offline school. I was handling children of different age groups from 6 years old to 16 years old. Slowly I lost the garb of a teacher and became a mother. That motherly approach helped me to figure out the listening and learning abilities of children. I have noticed positive changes in them. We played games together and sang songs and rhymes together.
One day some of the children from Grade 3 took over the ANC class (Art and Craft) and taught me and their friends origami with patience and care. It was a fun-loving teaching-learning experience for children as well as me.
And as the emotional moment came up.. the last working day of physical school. It was quite hard for me to welcome the vacation as I am going to miss all these wonderful moments. I have realized how much our children and I missed in the last two years of the pandemic.
I joined Aurinko, in the pandemic. It was almost 2 years of online classes. And while they were fruitful and aided in keeping us all sane in the pandemic, they couldn’t give the joy and fun-loving teaching-learning experience that was given in these last two months of offline classes.
I am eagerly waiting to meet my children again with a bunch of arts and crafts for them as I promised. Because in their smiles lies my happiness
