Art is magical, but it is not magic

Charles Lamb

Art is a crucial factor that can help us to improve our life. There are no arts without colors. Colors are everywhere in our surroundings, but we don’t enjoy them as we are ignorant and are engaged with so many other things.

Each color has its expressions and emotions. For example, Blue is a cool color. If you add this color of paint to one of your rooms, it brings a calm atmosphere to the room and the people who spend time there.

Impact of Color Theory on life

Color theory is an essential element in visual arts.

Have you ever noticed that when you wear some colors, that day will be happy and lucky? Multiple days you will experience the same whenever you wear the same colors. Yes, a dress can choose your mood based on the hue.

Everyone knows there are seven colors in a rainbow. We can differentiate these colors into warm colors and cool colors. Warm colors are red, orange, yellow, and their gradients. And cool colors are green, blue, indigo, violet, and their gradients.

The impact of each color differs from person to person. For example, if someone gets calm and peaceful when he sees the blue sky, then the sky blue color can help him to bring a fresh and tranquil environment.

Some people get a fresh and peaceful mind when they see greenery or the ocean. They can use aqua blue instead of sky-blue or natural green for a calm and tranquil environment. Like some people love to feel the bright yellow sun, this experience brings them a fresh and energetic feeling. These red, orange and yellow colors around that individual make them fresh, happy, dynamic, and active throughout the day.

In Aurinko we had color theory sessions for students from grade one to twelve in art and craft class. Children explored the world of color blending and making new colors. Younger ones enjoyed making new colors by mixing different colors at the same time higher grade children explored the world of color combinations and where and what colors to use in daily life. In the first session of color theory, children made astonishing paintings using the color wheel. They learned to use various types of paint brushes while painting. They experienced how the paint brushes work with different kinds of paints such as poster and acrylic colors. They inspected the way of mixing colors and creating new values out of it. In the second session, they learned a monochromatic scheme by choosing one color of paint and then mixed it with black and white to make landscape paintings. In the third session, children explored complementary schemes and how the colors work together to create contrast-fusion art projects. During that month of the color theory course, children learned about the nature of colors and the importance of colors along with painting skills.
